Ya-Zhu studies energy-storage systems — liquid-CO₂ (LCES), liquid-air (LAES), adiabatic compressed-air (A-CAES) and thermochemical storage — through a CO₂-centred life-cycle lens, focusing on dynamic process control and the substitution of low-cost or recycled materials for primary ones.
